CSIR launches ayurvedic anti-diabetic drug BGR-34 in Siliguri
A low-cost Ayurvedic medicine has been developed by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) along with two other organisations for diabetes patients. The medicine named “BGR—34” has been developed jointly by CSIR—NBRI (National Botanical Research Institute) Lucknow and CSIR—CIMAP (Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (Lucknow).
The medicine was launched in Siliguri at the presence of A K S Rawat—Principal Senior Scientist CSIR— National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow and D N Mani Senior Scientist CSIR—Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow.
"The scientists of NBRI and CIMAP joined hands to develop an effective, safe, patient-friendly solution towards management of type two Diabetes. While the modern diabetes drugs are known for side-effects and toxicity, BGR-34 works by controlling blood sugar and limiting the harmful effects of other drugs," he said.
It would help maintain normal Blood Glucose Metabolism and also reduce chances of long term complications, they said. AIMIL Pharmaceuticals, a private company, has been given the marketing right of the Ayurvedic proprietary medicine, a company release said.

I am suffering from type 2 diabetes since 2015, I also started losing weight. One day I came to know about BGR-34 through social media. As it is an Ayurvedic medicine I take it regularly as prescribed by the doctor from the past 4 months. Now, I feel wonderful and healthy. This is really an amazing medicine with no side effect.
BGR-34 is an excellent Ayurvedic treatment for diabetes because it is natural treatment which is good for health.
I’m using this very effective medicine.With common medicine, diabetes can never be eliminated permanently. BGR 34 there’s a verified scientific medicine to maintain diabetes naturally.
